Privacy policy
We collect as little as possible. There is no tracking, no advertising cookies and no account to sign up for.
Who we are
Thunderbird Models (thunderbirdmodels.co.uk) is an independent UK website. For any privacy question email hello@thunderbirdmodels.co.uk.
Cookies
Visitors to the public site get no cookies from us. The only cookie we set is a strictly necessary session cookie for the site owner when signing in to the private admin area (it is limited to the /admin/ pages and expires when the browser closes or after two hours of inactivity).
What we record
- Outbound link clicks: when you click a link to another site (for example Amazon.co.uk or eBay.co.uk) it passes through our /go/ address. We count the click — the date and time, which link and which of our pages it was on. We do not record your IP address or anything that identifies you.
- Server logs: like every website, our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, page requested) for security and troubleshooting. They are kept for a short period and are not used to profile visitors.
- Email: if you email us, we keep your message and address only as long as needed to reply, and never share them.
The site has no comment forms, newsletter sign-ups or user accounts.
Fonts, images and videos
All fonts, images and scripts are served from our own server, so loading a page does not contact any third party. If we embed a YouTube video, nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; it then plays from youtube-nocookie.com and YouTube’s privacy policy applies.
Shops we link to
When you follow a link to Amazon.co.uk or eBay.co.uk, you are on their website and their privacy and cookie policies apply. They may use cookies to recognise that you arrived through an affiliate link — see our affiliate disclosure.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Because we don’t collect personal data from visitors, there is usually nothing to report — but email us and we will check. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
