Specimen 0010 · Later toys & playsets (2000–2019)
Vivid Imaginations Tracy Island (2000)
The electronic Tracy Island that repeated the 1992 frenzy when the BBC showed the series again in 2000.
About this item
Vivid’s range for the 2000 repeats included the Tracy Island Soundtech Electronic Playset and a Powertech transforming playset (Wikipedia, citing ToyNews). The BBC World Service reported that Thunderbirds toys were that Christmas’s must-have: a fight broke out in Harrods over the last Tracy Island, Hamleys gave out tickets for its stock, and Vivid blamed a shortage of microchips also used in mobile phones.
